Intensive English for Young Learners - year round

Learners are taught in small groups of up to eight students. Classes aim to develop confidence in using the language to help pupils achieve success for their futures. The Intensive Course will combine 4.5 hours of English lessons each day with a programme of afternoon activities giving you the opportunity to activate the English you have learnt in the classroom.

Your Week

You will study English 22.5 hours per week. Maximum class size is 8.

You will have hour of homework every night.

You will have 5 afternoon activities per week

You will have 1 evening actvity per week

You will have an excursion to London or Canterbury each week (excluding departure week).

The Classes

The lessons are designed to develop students' accuracy in the language every morning from 9.30 until 13.00. A hot lunch is provided daily from 13.00 to 14.00. This is followed by communication skills workshps until 15.30.

7.5 hours of afternoon activities including:

arts and crafts

sports (football, tennis, badminton and volleyball)

treasure hunts

local visits

video nights

2010 dates

All courses begin on a Monday and learners should arrive on Sunday and depart on a Saturday. You may start your course any Monday outside the summer period.

All courses begin on a Monday. The cost is inclusive of all tuition, accommodation, meals, activities and transfers to and from Heathrow or Gatwick airport subject to the following: on arrival day, the flight arrival must be between 10:00 and 17:00 and on departure day, the flight departure must be between 12:00 and 19:00. Transfers can be arranged outside these hours at a cost of £110 each way.
